Taking care of coronavirus vaccinations yourself

It may pay off for you as employer to take matters into your own hands when it comes to arranging for your employees to get vaccinated. This is in principle allowed, but not yet at this moment. Arranging this in the short run is currently not possible. There are only a few approved vaccines on the market and the full production capacity has already been bought up by governments across the globe. In the Netherlands, prioritization in vaccinating is set according to advice by the Netherlands Health Council.

In the future, when vaccines are less scarce, it will be possible for you organization to buy vaccines for your employees. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment has stated that organizations may offer voluntary vaccination to its employees. The vaccination will be done by the occupational health physician, as is the case for the flu shot.
