    SLIM scheme remains popular

This year too, many employers are calling on the SLIM subsidy scheme to obtain financing for education and training for their employees. During the first round of applications for the scheme in 2021, so many organizations applied that the maximum amount of subsidy reserved for the scheme was exceeded, meaning that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment will now decide which applications for subsidy are processed and which are not on the basis of drawing lots. The same was necessary last year and many organization therefore missed out on subsidy. As of June 2021, applications for the SLIM scheme are once again possible for partnerships and large enterprises operative in the hospitality, agricultural and recreational industries. For partnerships, the lower limit for eligible costs (i.e. the costs for which subsidy can be obtained) was recently increased from € 5,000 to € 210,000.
