The incentive scheme ‘Stimuleringsregeling en ontwikkeling in mkb-ondernemingen’ (abbreviated as SLIM) was introduced in 2020 by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment to encourage training and development in SMEs by providing financial support to these enterprises. The subsidy scheme will be extended for 2021. The scheme targets three groups: individual SMEs, partnerships of SMEs, and large corporations operative in the hospitality industry, agriculture and recreation. Different periods of application for the SLIM subsidy apply, depending on the group.
The first period of application for individual SMEs started on March 2 and will end on March 31, 17:00 hrs. You must therefore act quickly! But don’t worry: a second period of application will start on September 1, 9:00 hrs. and end on September 30, 17:00 hrs. In order to file an application, you must first register yourself as an applicant. Registration and application are to be done on www.uitvoeringvanbeleidszw.nl.
Take note of the fact that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment has implemented a subsidy limit. Once the limit is exceeded, the order in which applications will be processed will be determined by draw. This could mean that, despite your application and having met all conditions, you will still miss out on subsidy. Through the SLIM scheme, an organization can receive max. € 24,999 in subsidy.
